In this chapter,Verses 1-11 reveal the knowledge of the identity of the self with the Lord. They also teach the values and attitudes that are essential for this knowledge so essential, that they themselves are called knowledge by Lord Krishna. In verses 12-34, Krishna fulfills his promise to teach Arjuna the knowledge of Brahman, the reality. With this knowledge, one gains freedom from death.
