Vision of Vedanta

Vedanta is a body of knowledge in the ancient scriptures of India, called the “Vedas”.  This teaching has been passed on orally from teacher to student in an unbroken chain from time immemorial.  The subject matter of Vedanta is you, the world and God.  Swamiji first defines the human prorblem.  Because of the human problem of self non-acceptance, I feel that I have to become somebody too prove to myself that I am acceptable.  Therefore the whole life becomes one of self-proving, not of self expression. But the truth turns out to be just the opposite.  Using the eyes of the Veda, Swamiji makes us see that “I am already an acceptable person.”
